A Change of Plan
Kristen was permitted to call home last night and tell us that, because of visa delays in Mongolia, she'll be temporarily assigned to serve in Colorado Springs, CO. She leaves Wednesday September 23, pending a checkup with her eye problems tomorrow. We will know for sure if she is going when she calls us on Wednesday morning.
She said that the visa problems have been typical for missionaries going to Mongolia, and they are usually delayed by about 2-3 weeks until their visas are in order. She also told us that she could leave for Mongolia with as little as 24 hours notice, so that will be interesting...

Wow, Colorado and Mongolia are kind of different places. It seems really exciting that she may only have 24 hour notice!
I think it's a really great idea to keep a blog of her mission. Did you see this month's article in the ensign about blogging? It's cool how you can use technology to spread the gospel. Way to go!
