DC life has been wonderful. It's starting to suddenly get cold for fall, and the leaves are finally starting to turn. My internship is going splendidly, my friends here are wonderful, I am still loving each and every day of my life here, and I have really fallen in love with everything around me. I like to go walking whenever I possibly can, and I always take my camera with me. Here are some pictures that aren't from anything in particular, but are just from walking.
Townhomes. I love them.
The view of the Potomac from the back of the Lincoln Memorial. This is one of my favorite places to come sit, as well as one of my favorite runs (I run from the Barlow Center through Georgetown, along the Potomac and across the bridge into Arlington)
This is my roommate Sara. She bought an Abraham Lincoln on a stick while in Gettysburg, and when you pull on the trigger at the bottom of the handle, he opens and closes his mouth. That thing in her mouth is a gross-smelling pie candle her roommates sent her for her birthday. And that is toilet paper tied around Abe's head. We get in strange moods around here...
Ashley, Haley and Sara with their Abes and the nasty candle. They went down to the Lincoln like this for a nighttime photo shoot.
We went to the Eastern Market last Saturday, an open air market with fresh produce that's locally grown. It was such a beautiful autumn day, and we went walking down past the Capitol. I love autumn.
Haley, Paige, and me
Haley, Paige, Sara, and me. Cheeeesy.
Sara tried to pick me up, but we were laughing too hard.
Statue in front of the Capitol
Yet another view of the Capitol. I can't get enough of it.
I took some alone time last Sunday, and went to the National Gallery of Art sculpture garden.
